The title of the whole event “Midway this Way of Life”, comes from Dante’s inferno (The Divine Comedy), which also inspired part of the installation. Further sources of inspiration were Wittgenstein’s ‘remarks on colour’ with particular reference to blindness and some passages from Baudrillards writings ‘Fatal Strategies’ where he comments on light discourse on ‘Ecstasy and Inertia’

The presented art works serve as metaphors for various issues and process of orientation: - sight – nonsight, feelings and objects of collective and personal memories and for our unending journey to discover or rather recover a true identity, personally and collectively.
